Door Knocker Update

For those of you interested in the outcome of the door knocker auction, it sold for $76.77! Made me take a second look at it, to be honest with you. This was one of those instances where an emotional attachment drove the price. Apparently, it will be a 38th wedding anniversary present for the winnnig bidder’s parents. This couple had one on their home for 38 years and recently moved and sold their house to their son. The couple felt that the door knocker should stay with the house, so they left it with their son. The children felt it only right to find a new one to outfit their parent’s new home. Kinda gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling.
